This past Saturday, 15 swimmers made up of staff and supporters made it safely shore from Alcatraz back to San Francisco all in less than an hour.
We want to congratulate our swimmers for another successful swim and thank everyone who’ve given in support!
When we began this event 5 years ago, we hoped to raise awareness of the distance between incarcerated people and their families while raising funds for programs to bridge that gap. This year, we’ve had more swimmers and more individual donors than ever before! Your support is not lost on us.
Your support has allowed FPJ to purchase books for young readers and offer opportunities for children to study music with a team of talented and caring teachers. With the holidays coming up, we support our clients’ children with holiday gifts from their parent. Contributions also support film, painting, and storytelling that inspires our community to facilitate safety, growth, and resilience for some of our most vulnerable community members. Help us grow our capacity to provide services and advocate to eliminate the death penalty by visiting our Support page.
